There will be an ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING on Wednesday, November 3 at 5:15 pm, at the Hartford Municipal Building.  Each team must have at least one member present at this meeting.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 12 for having team rosters (with minimum of 7 players) and full payment.

Upper Valley Aquatic Center Programs – 430573, 130573

Low-Down Aqua Plunge:  Low-impact, medium-intensity class for those with muscle or joint issues, pre/post-natal moms, post-op recovery patients, those managing their weight, and anyone who wants to build cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility through a body-friendly, shallow-water workout.  Pre-natal moms: Please bring a release note from your doctor to the first class.  All fitness levels welcome!

Intro to Strength Training:  For those individuals new to the gym, or looking to learn proper workout planning and technique.  Participants will be trained in all the basic movements using free weights and machines.  For all fitness levels!

Zumba - 430572

Zumba is a cardio-based workout that uses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a fitness program that features interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.  Participants burn 500+ calories an hour with Zumba.  Zumba is easy, designed for everyone, every shape and age.  Zumba is fun and motivates class participants to adhere to the program even after they get the results they desire. Participants keep coming back because it is FUN.  Zumba is great for the mind, body and soul.

Lampshade Making - 440530

Make and paint your own Lampshade.  Shades are made using acrylic and oil paint on paper and constructed with glue and stitching.  Classes will take place at Lamscapes store on Gates Street in WRJ,  VT.

Find out how Internet search engines like Google work and how to use them to find anything and everything on the web at this program.  Using Google, you can find information stored in the "world's biggest library", the Internet itself. The presentation will include information on narrowing searches, using appropriate search terms, image and map searches, and more.

Getting Started with Digital Photography – 2/7

Thinking about getting a digital camera, or have one and are just getting started? This program will offer information on how digital photography is different from film photography, options when choosing a camera, getting the photos from your camera to your computer, editing and improving digital photos, and options for organizing your photos on your computer.

Get outside and enjoy socializing and getting exercise the old fashioned way on these ten easy to moderately difficult walks.  Experience the foliage in the fall and the snowy views in the winter.  Bring boots and appropriate clothing (including snowshoes when needed in the winter) as well as water and a snack.  In the event of inclement weather, call the Recreation Office at 8:30 am on the morning of the walk to make sure the walk is still on.
