Hartford’s Animal Control Officer works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please contact him for any problems with abused, lost, found, and ongoing complaints. Hartford’s Animal Control Officer does not respond to wild animal complaints. The Animal Control Officer is also active in educating the community in responsible pet ownership and works closely with the local animal shelters to provide housing and care for stray and homeless animals. The Animal Control Officer also works to coordinate the adoption of abused and homeless animals. Hartford’s Animal Control Officer can be reached at 802-295-9425.
