Town Building Renovation Project

In 2007, the Board of Selectmen determined that the annual operating costs and near-term repair expenses of the municipal office building were so high that only a complete renovation made sense. Plans were drawn up and costs calculated during 2008, and at the 2009 Town Meeting, a bond to finance the renovation was put up for a vote. The bond was rejected.

The problems with the current office space continue. In 2010, a subcommittee of the board was formed to investigate alternatives. It has identified 5 approaches, and presented the 2011 Town Meeting a summary of their findings and asked those at the meeting to complete a survey.
