Citizen Police Academy


The Hartford Police Department is pleased to announce the creation of a citizen police academy.  The program is a 10 week experience offered annually where citizens will be introduced to the operations of the Hartford Police Department and various aspects of police activities and the criminal justice system.  It will be offered as a 3 hour evening class, one night per week over the course of the academy.  It will include lectures, tours, and hands-on experiences from police department staff as well as other members of the criminal justice system.

The 2015 fall class begins Wednesday September 2 and is every Wednesday thereafter until November 4 from 6pm-9pm.


Limited to 20 attendees each session
