PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE SCOPING STUDY

The Dothan Brook School, in partnership with the Town of Hartford has been participating in the Safe Routes to School Program (SR2S). A grant was awarded to the Town/School to conduct a pedestrian/bicycle scoping study for Christian Street and Bugbee Street. Recommendations from the study will be presented to the Selectboard and the community.The draft report and recommendations can be viewed here or at the Hartford Municipal Building.

US ROUTE 5/I-91, EXIT 11

BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

SCOPING STUDY

The Town of Hartford has identified the need for safe bicycle and pedestrian facilities along US Route 5 through the Interstate (I-91) Exit 11 Interchange.  Route 5 is identified as a regional bicycle route; and within the study area is a major collector State Highway that connects two busy commercial districts.

Due to the nature of Federal project requirements (environmental and right-of-way) we envision the projects going to construction no sooner than 2014.
