Reporting an Emergency

When you call 911 in the event of a medical emergency, the information you provide can make a life-or-death difference. Be prepared to give as much of the following information as you can:

  • Age and gender of patient
  • Ease of access for responding units
  • Exact location of patient
  • Location of the emergency
  • Location you are calling from
  • Nature of the injury or illness
  • Your identity
