Commission ResponsibilitiesThe commission shall consult with and advise the Director of Parks and Recreation in matters affecting recreation programs; park/facility related projects, policies and finances. The commission assists in the development of long-range planning for recreation and park needs of the community. New members must be committed to attending 1 meeting a month. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m.
The mission of the department is to serve the needs of the community through quality parks and facilities and by offering lifelong learning through recreational and cultural programs.
